I’ve been clean for a long time so I just didn’t expect my wallet to make me look like such a degenerate. At least the needle exchange membership card wasn’t there anymore. Only other thing amiss is there’s actually a bunch of money in it these days.

At the touristy spot I work at, this fateful day I happen to be stationed at the ticketing booth. I've met plenty of people that day and to be honest, this was one of the entitled moments I've remembered very clearly so it will be lengthy, bear with me.
The queue was understandably long as its the afternoon rush, its hot and humid, all the counters of the booth is open, some for redemption and some for purchasing. Everyone in the booth is pressured by the queue's deadly impatient stare but we are used to it, making sure our transactions are working properly is our priority to avoid any discrepancies. A man came with his gf/wife/fiance (pick one), to my counter.
*Important details*: The resort's casino membership is no laughing matter, we are to strictly adhere to the resort's policy and rules. The casino membership cards are entitled to certain amount of discounts on the park tickets. The MAIN rule about using these cards is that the owner of the card MUST be present to be able to utilize the card for any discounts or other benefits. Verification of identity in person is a must, be it the owner is a stranger or relative.

I took a look at the casino membership card, and the name on it.

EP: It's my mother's

EP: No, she is in the casino now, she is lending me to buy the tickets on discounts unless there is misinformation that the casino card cannot use for discounts.(BIG RED LIGHT, a person can't be in the casino without his/her own card, its like a proof of entry and there is card crediting for some casino games as well. Usually, people won't get checked but its a gamble sometimes.)
Me: Sir, there is no misinformation about discount entitlements for these cards, but it is in the resort's policy that the owner must be present for the transaction. *Returns the cards he pushed through the pigeon-hole*
EP: But my mother said its alright to use it without her presence since there is no signature required, can't you please just close an eye?
Me: Sir I can't close an eye on this, the transactions are traceable and there are CCTVs looking at us.
EP: What if I just call my mother now? I let her talk to you.
Me (firm stand): I'm afraid that is not approved either, I need her to be here now to utilize the card's discount.
EP (Frustrated): You can't be telling me to take 15mins to walk to the casino now to pass her back the card, for her to come out with it, then take another 15mins to walk here to buy the tickets, including the amount of waiting time to queue up again...?
Me: I'm sorry but it has to be the case.
EP: This can't be the case, you really just can't give me the leeway to this? Please? The queue is long and I can't make my mum walk so far out now.
Me: Give me a moment, I'll ask my manager.
I turn off the booth window mic and stepped back to use the booth phone to call my manager's phone.
Me: Merlin? Lucy here, you free now?
Merlin: Yes Lucy? Whats the problem?
Me: I've got a guy here who wants to use his mother's casino card for the discount.
Merlin: Where is the mother?
Me: In the casino having fun now, I've mentioned the necessary already, he is still quite insistent with "pleases".
Merlin: *under his breath* Why on earth is she in the casino without her card....Give me 5 mins Lucy, I'll be coming from another booth, inform that guy that I'll be there in 5.
Me: 10-4...*hangs up*
Me(goes back to the window mic, turn on): Sir, please wait for a moment, my manager will be arriving in 5 mins.
The wait begins and another important info: staff members have different uniforms from the managers. Easily distinguishable. Merlin came into the booth, window mic is off.
Merlin: What's the full story Lucy?
Me: He came with mother's casino card, I told him the mother's presence is needed, he asked if phone call is possible, pleaded a couple of times before I had to call you.
Merlin: How's his speech tone all along from the start?
Me: Does that matter?
Merlin: If he was rude, it will be the full price. If he was insistent yet not demanding but somewhat polite, I'll honour a bit of discount, just not the casino one.
Me: Its both but leaning to the polite side? His hand gestures were kinda aggressive...
Merlin(frowns): Stand back, I'll handle him.
Merlin turns to the window mic only for the EP to let him see the casino card again. I just stood behind him while he looks at the card.
EP: Can this be used? Please? I don't want to ask my mother to come out for it.
Merlin: Sir. This casino card does not belong to you. The discount cannot be utilized without the owner's presence as verification. You either have to pay the full price or ask your mother to come here. It is the policy that we have. *Pushes the card back out*
EP: Fine. What's the price for 2 then, without the casino card.
Merlin: It will be xxx dollars.
The transaction went through and the EP was clearly not happy.
Merlin: These are your tickets sir, just to let you know, the casino members cannot be in the casino without their cards, I suggest you hand it back to your mother before she gets checked and before entering the park. Have a nice day.
The EP ends up taking all his things then went out to the side to gather everything. Merlin turns back to me.
Me: Fierce. He doesn't seem intimidated at all but how did he just listen to it once and accepted his fate?
Merlin: Probably just a different uniform.
Me: Guess that make sense...
Merlin: Alright back to serving others. I'll be here for a while to see if anyone else wants to find trouble.
With Merlin checking on us, nothing much happened afterward. Pretty much the Manager's aura doing its work.

I work a foodstrip at a casino. As you can imagine, a casino attracts all kinds of angry assholes, but I always do my best to give friendly and efficient service.
Last week this trio of early-twenty somethings come to our Subway-like deli and grab a bunch of food. The guy ordering the sandwich is kind of rude and dismissive. He's talking with his friends and I keep having to repeat myself when I ask him what the hell he wants on his sub. I'm not a mind-reader, guy. When I'm asking you what kind of cheese you want, it's not because I'm trying to interrupt you. But it's a food court at a casino. My skin is thick and I know I only have to put up with him for a couple minutes.
It is time to pay. The man wants a chocolate shake, so I ring it up with the rest of their dozen items and tell them the total. He asks where his shake is and I tell him I'll grab it right after we are through with the register. He wants to do a room charge. He has his room card and id ready, so this is easy. But I'm a terrible person, so I ask him if he has a Casino Membership card. He does, and with his discount I save him $7.
I print out the receipt for him to sign and tell him that I'll be charging $20 to his room. He loudly announces that I am wrong. The total is $20.01, because he is leaving a tip. I do the complicated math in my head and realize he is leaving me a penny.
A whole fucking penny. I don't even expect tips since I'm not a waitress.
I loudly thank him for his tip and retrieve his shake. Now the revenge. Our shake cups are plastic with dome lids, like a 7-11 slurpee. Usually I put the lid on first and fill the shake to the brim because why not. For this jackass, I filled the cup first and then stuck the lid on, depriving him of 2 whole ounces of a $4 shake. It's also a bitch to get the lid on once the shake has been filled, so he had to wait another ten seconds for me to get it on.
I hope you lose at the Blackjack tables, jerk. Also, the girl you were with was embarrassed.

I have nearly 300 points on my Foxwoods Casino Membership card, but due to constant losses, I can't see me frequenting that place that much anymore.
I know I can use points to buy food (unfortunately I can't buy Starbucks gift cards or anything like that). Does anyone know if points can be used at Tanger Outlets? I'm assuming it's a definite "no", but does anyone here know?
If not, and I am ready to leave the casino forever, should I just use the points to buy nearly 300 worth of non-perishable food?

Hey guys. Didn't think I was going this year until about 30 mins ago. Anxiety through the roof right now. In a good way! I saw a few posts of people talking about signing up for casino membership cards or whatever and you can get better rates. Can someone tell me which places do this and what the best are?

Okay, so, I like to think that I have moderate computer proficiency, and then I do something dumb like this.
I had a MicroATX board and MicroATX case that only had one 3.5" bay, so I upgraded to a behemoth ATX case so I can shove Western Digital's entire inventory in here. In doing this, I decided to give it a good dust removal, spraying it down with compressed air.
When I realized that the CPU fan was just coated in dust, I went to take it off to give it a good dusting - completely forgetting about the thermal paste, which was dried, and broke off, most of it still encrusted on both the heatsink and the CPU.
So I spend the better part of the afternoon cleaning both with 91% rubbing alcohol and reapplying some Arctic Silver 3 thermal compound I had lying around. This is one of the things I'm not great out, so I followed their directions to the letter. I put a little less than a pea size on the bottom of the heatsink and spread it around with an old casino membership card. I then applied a line, about the thickness of a pretzel stick, down the head of the CPU, and squished the heatsink/fan on top (the instructions said it would squish it out into a circle).
Note: At some point during my switch over, I also knocked with my hand this shiny blue thing that says ASUS on it (bottom left). I thought at first this was a north or southbridge, but I'm later told it's a heatsink. In consulting the mobo manual, it says it's an Intel H61 chipset. A friend has informed me that the chipset is underneath the blue chrome thing, and the blue chrome thing is a heatsink.
So the computer boots up. I'm writing to you from it. But both my BIOS freaked out, first of all claiming I installed a new CPU (I never removed the CPU from it's socket ONCE during cleaning), and then reporting temperature of nearly 188 F. Once Windows booted, I installed SpeedFan and it's consistently reporting those same high temperatures for the CPU.
Problem #1: Why is it so hot? Is it because I applied paste wrong on the main CPU? Or did knocking this blue thing (which I instantly stuck back down the best I could) screw something up? Problem #2: Even though the BIOS and SpeedFan say "CPU," is it actually getting these faulty temps from the blue thing I knocked? Also, SpeedFan reports an AUX temperature of 54 C (129 F) and SYS of 27 C (80.6 F). Problem #3: How can I eliminate what the problem is here and fix it? Note: I'm a super poor college student. I don't want to have to buy a new board or CPU or anything - the case already stretched me thin - so I'm hesitant to pry things off the board at risk of screwing it up more.

I have 2 x 120mm case fans - one in the back, near the CPU, and another one up top which is theoretically supposed to take hot air back out (but I may have installed it backwards, I can never tell). Then there is the stock Intel heatsink/fan on top of the main CPU.
Any help would be much appreciated!

For what it's worth, it hasn't shut down for me under a heat complaint yet, and I've been Photoshopping some pretty hi-resolution stuff and I'm currently playing L.A. Noire and it's not choking or misbehaving yet. Is there a chance it's mis-reporting?

Knowing the Menus

There’s a bunch of things to do in HUT under different categories they are ...
• HUT Central
• Solo Play
• Online
• Auction House - sets
• Team
Each of these have various things underneath them, so let’s talk about them.
HUT CENTRAL
First off we have a scroll-through menu on what new content is out.
New content; packs, and players gets released every week day at 5pm EST , unless it’s a Holiday - then we’ll get the content a day earlier.
You will see when the content is out of packs by the timer and the date on the banner shown - Winterinternational Players released Monday were a week long to pull.
We will see new events come into HUT bi-weekly. This event ends soon, so we will see a new Event next Friday at 5pm EST.
Team of the Weeks are Wednesdays at 5pm EST. Available for the Week.
HUT RUSH
What else is there on HUT Central? You can go directly to HUT RUSH game mode by going to the banner using the left stick, highlighting it and clicking “X” or “A”.
HUT Rush is 2 game modes , normally one is Traditional Hockey gamestyle, and other is Arcade Hockey gamestyle with “moneypuck” attached.
Play games, win, get points, rank up in tiers. Get rewards - instantly. You can net 18.5k in coins, and 2 and a half gold collectables normally — or 100 Gold Players for 3 Gold Collectables, once. — willl talk about later. This is a limited time set, ending Tuesday @5pm EST.
Objectives / Milestones
You will also be available to see what Objectives / Milestones are close to completion. Click on this, and you will be shown the “Daily” Objectives. If you do all these, you get a Monthly Collectable, and 1,250 coins for the day.
Weekly Objectives are the same thing, finish all those up within a weeks time (Friday at 5pm EST - Friday at 5pm EST) and get a cool 5k, plus an Untradable Premium Pack - worth 7,500 coins.
Milestones have infinite time, do those for coins, players, packs. Do them all? Get yourself an Icon or Gold Collectable. — I’ll talk about these later.

Solo Play

Under Solo Play there is Squad Battles , and Challenges.
What is Squad Battles?
Squad Battles is playing your team against the A.I. for points. The higher difficulty; rookie, semi-pro, pro, all-star, superstar - and opponents OVR - i.e., 77 or 88 - the more points you can obtain. To get max points, score 5 goals, and have 20 shots on net. Points will increase as more people play, and get updated weekday, 5pm EST. The more games you play, and win the higher the rank you will get. Aim for at least Pro 2 , which is 4-5 games.** Squad Battles resets on Wednesday - 5pm EST and you will receive your rewards on Thursday at 5pm EST. —- some people still don’t know this, so have that memorized and you’ll know more than some people.
Squad Battles affects your win-loss ratio, and Players Stats
Squad Battles rewards you in Tradable Packs, Coins, and HUT Sweats CHAMPS points
Challenges
Challenges are a great way to earn a coin stack, and receive free packs - usually earned at the second last - last challenge in the “Event Challenges”. You will also receive Monthly Collectables throughout doing the Event Challenges.

• Whats unique about this event is that by getting 3 stars, you will earn a Winterinternational collectable!! - will talk about later!

If you opt not to do these Event Challenges, there are “offline” challenges to do - Starting at Rookie, and ending in Superstar you can net a free 200k for doing them all!! It is time consuming, but it’s 200k worth!

Rivals Mode
What is Rivals?
Rivals is playing against people online. PS+ or Xbox Membership is required in order to play online.
Play your first 5 games, get entered into a Division.
Do well - win lots in a row, and you’ll be able to go up in Divisions. This gives yourself better, and bigger rewards. Want to get those rewards in a higher tier, but you’re afraid you’ll lose the division? Hold off, and don’t play. Rivals resets Tuesdays at 5pm EST, Rewards available Wednesday at 5pm EST.
Each game gives you points, as well. You get more points winning than losing, duh. More points will net you better rewards for the week. I normally just aim for Gold.
You can choose from Tradable packs, Untradable packs (2 times the amount as tradable) or coins.
Play a friend
You can play your friend in HUT. They will obviously use their HUT team, and you’ll use yours. You can use expired loan players in this. Make up your own rules, and have fun!

Auction House

Buy players, jerseys, logos, coaches, arenas, cellys, jersey numbers, goalie masks in the Auction House. You can also sell your own, as well. Simply click on the “Auction House” . You can change the category by clicking “X/A” and scroll over to your designated category you want to buy. - Also filter out the things if you want a specific player, or event.
You will have the option to click down and sell players, view them in the next tab and see how much time is left, and also see what price they go for at the very end at the “Sell Transactions” - it will show you what you’ve sold, and by clicking “R2/RT” you will have a timestamp, going back a week, month, year, or all-time. Clicking “L2/LT” you will see your sold items, and expired items — if they didnt sell they’ll go here.
• Since you are new?? There is a “Market Crash” happening right now. Load yourself up with “Base” 84+ cards for cheap - Mackinnon, Kane, McDavid - best Base player - Hedman, Vasilevskiy, etc., —- Tall goalies are “meta” , as well as “speedy” players. —
I would also suggest buying TOTW Players, they will rebound in price.
Sets
Do your re-rolls what even is a “re-roll” ? A reroll is trading in 8 of a specific “level” to 2 of the “next level” players. For example 8 Bronze Players to 2 Silver Players. 8 Silver Players to 2 Gold Players. Lastly, we have 8 Gold Players to 2 Gold Players with one being an 80+ Player. I would not suggest doing the Gold -> Gold reroll
You can also trade in Monthly Collectables you get from the Daily login for a Free Gold Collect / Icon. This costs 30 Monthly Collectables. You can also get packs, or a 80-82 player. You can get 2 per day - Daily Pack you get every 24hrs, plus doing the Daily Challenges.
When a player gets 50 Gold Players, you can lock those into a Gold or Icon Collectable. Each will help your team in various ways, lets look at it.
There is a set right now under “Winterinternational” where you trade in 100 Gold Players to 3 Gold Collectables, I highly suggest this, especially as a new player - redeemable twice
—- The Winterinternational Collectables from the Event Challenges gives you a free Gold Collectable or helps with building a 91/92 random player, or specific player. For the free Gold Collectable you need 21 Winterinternational Collectables. —
Icon Collectable - Untradable Master Icons. 1 Icon Collectable is an 85 Master Icon. There’s 84-89 OVR Master Icons available. Each one requires more and more Icon Collectables.
—- Master Icons will eventually go to 99 OVR. Will require more Icons. Lower OVR Icons will need more Icons to get to Max OVR - 99. Higher Icons - Gretz / Lem. will require less.
To get Lemieux / Gretzy it is 7? Icon Collectables.
Gold Collectables - Tradable / Untradable Event Master Set Players (MsPs). Less Gold Collectables will net you an Untradable MSP , More Gold Collectables will net you a Tradable MSP. You can also get yourself specific 92 MsPs this event by doing their tasks. — They are Untradable. —
Normally I go Tradable, and sell them for more coins. This allows you to build your favourite team the fastest.

Team

Store
Also under this is “Store” . Right now until Tuesday at 5pm EST you can get a free 90 OVR player! What a great way to start! Just pick your favourite one - THERE IS NO WRONG CHOICE!!
Seriously grinds my gears seeing a post “what 90 is the best” “who should I choose?” It is YOUR GAME! What works for others , may not work for you. Pick YOUR FAVOURITE!
Base & Premium Packs are always there. Base packs are 5k coins, Premium Packs are 7.5k coins. Every other weekday we will see a new pack enter the store. New Events bring more packs, containing specific stuff. One guarantees a Gold Collectable, and a Winterinternational Player. Since Boxing Day is today, there are packs out for it!! These packs end on Monday at 5pm EST.
A player can also buy packs by purchasing “points” to purchase points, click the Triangle or Y button in the store.
To see how much a pack is in “points” it is the Green Circle “Pucks” besides the coins. Currently the guaranteed Winterinternational and Gold Collectable pack is $25.
Team
Change your team players, lineups, goalies, coaches, add better players, etc.,
You can change your strategies by going to “Manage Lineups” and “Strategies”.
Also there is the “Settings” to fix your camera, puck size, visual / audio, and controls.

Free Beginning Tips

• HUT is not a race. Be patient. Better cards will be out every month , OVRs will increase.

My hints?

• PLAY THE GAME YOUR WAY!! BUILD YOUR OWN TEAM!! Use your favourite players for maximum fun, happiness, and enjoyment. So what if no one else uses “said player” its your team - not theres. What works for you may not work for them, vice versa.
  
• Before hitting into a game, click R3? This pops up what Ping you wanna use. It’ll try and find a game below or at the ping you set. If you dont find an opponent within 30 seconds, you’ll be finding an opponent out of this ping zone range.
  
• Use your 100 Gold Players for the 3 Gold Collectables.
  
• Play up on RUSH to try and get Max Tier for the free 84 for your team. This will give you 18.5k , and the 100 Gold players needed for the 3 Gold Collectables.
  
• If you can, try and do the 100 for 3 Gold Collectables, again. This will give you 6 Gold Collectables.
  
• Play Squad Battles, and Rivals. Take UT (second option) for Rivals. This will ensure lots of Gold Players for Gold Collectables. (I always choose UT, even if my team is stacked. You can’t change my mind on doing anything different.)
  
• DONT go for Lemieux or Gretzky. Yes, it is your HUT Team, but don’t go for it off the bat. I’d suggest a tradable MSP - then you can use the coins to play the market, and buy your Master Icons that you want.
  
• Buy Base Speedy players - Doughty, Duchene, Mackinnon, Kane, etc., whoever floats your boat. All are cheap nown
  
• Buy TOTWs for Profit.
  
• Save on Gold Collectables. Have enough to get your first tradable MSP and sell for your coinage.
  
• Save up coinage. Try and do Daily’s every day.
  
• Spend coinage everywhere, one “Star Player” will not help your team.
  
• World of Chel also gives you HUT items, every 10 items if you feel burned out.
  
• Cross - Creases are so normal way of scoring, its no need to get mad about em now, use em to score if theyre open if you wanna play that way, too.
  
• Take into account this while buying points thisss
